Hire Blambot
Need a custom font that's yours alone? Maybe professional logo design, or lettering for your comic? Blambot's Nate Piekos has been doing all these things and more for the top publishers in the industry for over a decade. Here's what you need to know:
The first step is to contact Blambot with an idea of what you're looking for. You'll get an e-mail back within 24 hours with a price quote and turn-around time (unless more information is needed from you).
Blambot's schedule is typically very busy, so appropriate lead time is a must.
If all is agreeable, send along your physical address and phone number, and a standard Blambot Project Agreement, (and possibly an Artwork Release Form,) will be emailed back to you. The Agreement specifies the parties involved, the scope of the project, agreed upon fees, and specific dates, etc. The Artwork Release Form guarantees that any artwork and reference material you send to Blambot is your property.
Read these documents, (and/or have your legal representation advise you,) sign them, and send a digital copy back to Blambot.
For logo design, graphic design, and custom fonts, 50% of the total fee is due before work can begin, without exception.
Once your signed papers are returned, you'll get email confirmation that the project is proceeding, and you can send Blambot any artwork, scripts, or reference materials requested:
-
For custom fonts, Blambot will need high res scans of your lettering (600px is best).
-
For graphic design or logo design, each projects tends to have unique needs, so reference materials should be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
-
For lettering, Blambot will need your artwork in TIF format in at least 300px resolution, your final script in Word format, and any placements or notes.
In the agreed upon time, you'll receive proofs of your project, and any changes or corrections can be discussed.
Once the work is complete, you can send the balance remaining, and the finished project will be released to you.
